The Child’s Pose (Balasana) is a simple and easy forward bending exercise. This makes it a suitable counterpose for backbend exercises like the Cobra Pose (Bhujangasana) and the Camel Pose (Ustrasana).
Instructions
Sit on your heels, place your torso on your thighs, let your forehead rest on the mat and lay your arms alongside your body, palms facing upward. Relax your entire body, especially your shoulders. Stay in this posture for a few moments.
Variation
As a variation, you can stretch your arms forward.
Benefits
